Meet Karl!
Hello, my name is Karl the frog. I am from a pond near Largo, FL. I love to swim and jump around. I am now traveling around the world. I used to live at Pinellas Preparatory Academy, and I represent the boy "griot" class. Please let me hang out with you for 1-2 weeks, then pass me on to someone who will take good care of me like you did. Whoever has me on April 15, 2011, please send me back to my school. Please update my blog with all my adventures so that my friends at PPA can see. Email pictures of my adventures to our adviser, Mrs. DeBaker, at hdebaker@pinellasprep.org, and she will post them :) Also, you can send postcards, souvenirs, and letters to our school. The 7th Graders love to get mail! Thank you for helping me travel the world and for taking care of me! Ribbit!

ReplyDeleteI was in Tampa last month on business and visited Allison Prosser and her family. I grew up with her Father in Canada. She gave me Karl as part of a project. I wanted to give you an update.
We were also on a family vacation and were driving to Florida. I currently reside in Ontario. We stopped in Washington, DC overnight and did some sightseeing with Karl. We took some very interesting pictures of Karl which I am sure your student will find amusing. He has currently done around 2400 miles. I pasted a link of his travels so far.
He was handed off to some friends of mine who were travelling to Moncton, New Brunswick. This is where Derek and I grew up. My parents now have Karl and will take some pictures of where Allison’s father grew up in New Brunswick, Canada. They will take some pictures of him of the school that her father attended at Allison’s age.
My parents will be travelling shortly to New Orleans for a few days. They will then going to Texas to catch a Caribbean cruise to Jamaica and the Virgin Islands. Karl will be with them. He will be coming back to Canada for his next journey. I am sure that we will have pictures of Karl shovelling snow also. I am back in Florida in March, so I will bring Karl back with me.
