Meet Isabella!

Hi, my name is Isabella the bear, and I am a GeoAnimal from Pinellas Preparatory Academy. I like to hang out and chat with my friends in my spare time. This is my first year as a GeoAnimal.  I would love to make some new friends and see the world! I represent the 6th grade- girls at PPA.  Please let me hang out with you for 1-2 weeks, then pass me on to someone who will take good care of me like you did.  Whoever has me on April 15, 2011, please send me back to my school.  Please update my blog with all my adventures so that my friends at PPA can see.  Email pictures of my adventures to our adviser, Mrs. DeBaker, at hdebaker@pinellasprep.org, and she will post them :)  Also, you can send postcards, souvenirs, and letters to our school.  The 6th Graders love to get mail! Thank you for helping me travel the world and for taking care of me!

  1. Greetings!

It's me, Isabella. Wow, I bet you all were wondering what's happened to me. I have been soooo busy since leaving my friends at PPA. Let me fill you in.
First, Mrs. Walker took me home. Then, she put me in the car and I knew we were off on an adventure. We were on our way to Atlanta, GA for Thanksgiving. She has a little dog, a Yorkie, and it has a car seat. But she let me sit in the car seat so I could look out the window. She was worried, I might get car sick, but I was fine. It was great! Her dog had to go potty, so we stopped. Mrs. Walker took me with her because it wouldn't be safe to leave me in the car. Everyone knows you should NEVER leave an animal unattended in a car! Whew! It was so cold I thought my fur would get frostbite! Fortunately, Mrs. Walker had taken an extra doggie coat (size XS) and her dog let me borrow it. We became good friends, even though in the beginning, I think she was jealous of me.
We went for Thanksgiving dinner. Mrs. Walker cooked a huge dinner and it was yummy. Did you know Mrs. Walker can cook? I sure didn't! There was lots of family there and everyone had a good time. I liked the pecan pie best of all. After we ate, we all piled in cars and drove down to Buckhead (that's near downtown) and waited for them to light a big giant Christmas tree on top of a building. I had never seen a tree on top of a building before. We waited around and listened to music. Then, it happened! Not only did they light the giant tree, but they did something I never expected--FIREWORKS! They just went on and on! Over 5 minutes we stood there watching them! Wait till you see the video. You won't believe the awesome grand finale. Here's a link for you to either copy and paste or right click and go to the link:

Next, I was off to visit different friends and family. I was pretty tired and rested a few days and got to know Mrs. Walker better. She really likes the GeoBear project and wishes the 5th graders could do it, too. I explained to her that even though it might be fun for them, it is DEFINITELY a middle school project, so HANDS OFF! You guys can thank me later, because we're safe for now. She said she wouldn't do it. Keep your eye out for bears in her room, though. Keep reminding her, "Hands off our GeoBear project, please." (You guys know how she loves hearing, "Please."
Anyway, she put me on an airplane and I'm on my way to California. Some place named Fairfield. I should be there soon. Gee...I hope I'm not lost. Silly me! It's holiday time and there's lots of packages on this plane. I'm sure I'll be there soon. Stay tuned and I'll keep you updated. Mrs. Walker gave me an itinerary and I'm scheduled for some really cool places.
While I'm gone, you guys keep up with your homework and I'll see you in the Spring.

    Your friend,
    Isabella
